The Sims 3 Windows 11 - Wont Go Past Sims 3 Launcher! Help!

Question

Please help. I'm trying to run the Sims 3 and it's simply not working. I've tried everything every guide has suggested. I've installed DirectX 9, Net Framework, I've restarted my computer, i've tried making its compatibility settings go with Windows 8, I've tried downloading some rando's thing that takes you to the exe and "fixes" it. Nothing has worked. I'm on a Windows 11 new laptop. Please help, I love both the Sims 3 and 4 and 4 works perfectly but 3 will only go to the Sims 3 Launcher and then it sends me back to the EA app.

I don't know whether the "some rando's thing" you're referencing is the Alder Lake patch from Lazy Duchess, but if you do have one of the affected processors and the patch didn't help, make sure you're applying it to the correct .exe: TS3.exe for an EA App install; TS3W.exe, with the W, for a disc or Steam install.&nbsp; If that still doesn't help, try one of the other methods listed in that thread.

If you don't have an affected CPU, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
