The Sims 3 won't open (launcher or .exe file)
This will be a long explanation, but I don't know where the problem is, so I don't want to leave out anything important. I have been playing the game for a few months, several expansion packs instal...
Solved!
I systematically removed everything, and I mean everything until I found the solution: the only files that were still in my DCCache, .ent .ebc .dbc and .idx files, had to be deleted. My guess is that patching my game, or even just opening the Launcher after reinstalling, put them back, which is why it worked after a clean reinstall, and then stopped again.
Once I wiped the DCCache completely clean, my game started working. Actually, the Launcher is working better than it ever has before, oddly enough.
