There is a problem connecting to the server. Please ensure your internet connection is active..

"There is a problem connecting to the server. Please ensure your internet connection is active.. please try again later."

I have Sim 3 with Sims Supernatural on my Mac OSX. I play offline because if I attempt to play online I receive error messages. Recently I was playing my game and I received a message that requested I connect to the internet to prove my ownership of the game. Weird huh? I tried to play without connecting, but it would just shut down Sims 3. So I connected to the internet and then opened my Sims 3 Supernatural game. It asked me to log on to origin, so I did... I usually didn't in the past. Then I clicked on the play button and received the following error: Cannot connect to the server, please try again later." It's been 48 hours. Any ideas? Oh, I have not updated to the new Sims 1.55.4... I am currently using Sims 15.0.135.

It's been hours and I finally gave up and tried the 1.55 patch... I am now updated to 1.55. but I still havethe same error. When I turn off my internet and try to play, then I receive the message that I need to connect to the internet to prove ownership.

    Make sure nothing is blocking the connection (firewall, anti virus, another program)

    If that doesn't help, you need to contact customer support

    If live chat is gray, change your country to US and make sure you're on US Business hours. It might also gray because they're very busy. Try later.

    The Chat Now button doesn't even work on their site... I've been trying it for the past week now, with country set to US. I haven't been able to play the game at all and I've had it downloaded for a month. I've just reinstalled everything and no joy.

    If no windows pops up when you press the button it's usually your browser blocking pop-ups. Make sure you let them go through.

    You can also try a different browser.
