Tier 1 Chat Refuses Proof of Ownership for Physical Sims 3 Games

Hi,

I am trying to recover my childhood physical copies of The Sims 3. I have all the original boxes, discs and serial codes. We bought a new laptop without a CD drive, so I wanted to activate them on my current EA account.

Live chat support refused to verify my Proof of Ownership. They simply told me to buy the games again because the old account from 15 years ago is completely lost and disabled. They stated they do not have the tools to grant digital replacements.

Could a Community Manager or someone from Tier 2 support look into this? I have all the photos of my physical games ready to send in a private message. I just want to play the games I legally own.

    Sorry to say, but we aren't able to support account-related requests here on the forums, as we don't have the tools to do so. If our live support team said that they aren't able to grant digital replacements for your physical games, then I'm afraid there's nothing more we can do. 

    With that said, it might be worth looking into external CD/DVD drives as an alternative path to try to access the games you've purchased in the past. Thanks!
