Unable to redeem the product code

I have just purchased Dragon Valley and I am unable to redeem the code. When i enter the code into the website given to me on the redeem instructions on Origin, (https://store.thesims3.com/myAccount.html?)  the loading circle comes up and doesn't do anything else. I've been trying this for about 3 hours now. I've been on the support chat for EA. I was talking to someone but the chat crashed and disconnected. the advisor was extremely helpful, i've tried using chrome, internet explorer and firefox to load the site and enter the code. The advisor said the key has not been redeemed yet. Can anyone suggest anything?

    *update* 

    this has now been resolved by a chat advisor, she redeemed the code through her computer and i have now downloaded the pack.

    @Tamaska281  Is your computer a pc or mac? Did you try to redeem the code in Origin? Click Origin in the upper left and click redeem code...  Are you running ab ad blocker? Are you running third party antivirus?

    I tried to redeem it on origin but it said it cannot be redeemed through origin only through the website. 

    My computer is PC. No ad blockers or antivirus software either im totally stumped here :/.

    i purchased it through origin but it needs to be redeemed through the Sims 3 website.

    It's now been 7 hours that I've been trying to get this to work...I can't seem to get through on the chat to EA.

    @Tamaska281  I just bought RH from Origin and got a code from the purchase. I also got an email that contained the code. I go to thesim3.com and go to redeem code. I entered the code wrong (not on purpose) and I don't get an error or nothing. I click cancel and back out of redeem code. I go back into redeem code and this time I entered the code correctly and after about a minute I get a message to go to purchase history and download RH. I go to purchase history and RH is the first item - I click download and it downloads to the download tab of the launcher. It works for me even though I entered the code wrong the first time. This means the site is working at least for me. I think the chat is unreliable - if your in the U.S. or Canada, use the call back.
