Uninstalling then reinstalling?
If I uninstall Island Paradise in order to download another earlier release (which I am told you have to do in order for it to work) will I be able to re-install it?

You don't have to install in order. It's recommended but I would just install the new game. If it doesn't work, you can still uninstall.
To answer your question: Yes, you'll be able to re-install.
