When I try to move to a different town my sims disappear

I just got back from university and I wanted a change of town so I used my phone to move and after it saves it says "Your move has been cancelled for an unknown reason" and then my sims have disappeared. Then I have to do reset sim for all of them which takes a long time and when I tried again the same things happened so I would be really grateful if someone could give me a solution.

    I would move them manually - there tends to be issues involving that move option.

    To do so:

    • open up edit town
    • click on your household and find the Save to Library button - click on it
    • They will now be saved to your library
    • Open up the world you want via the main menu
    • Move in household and you can find them in the selection library

    You will (like any normal move to another neighbourhood) lose all open opportunities and relationships with sims outside your town.
