I've a very naughty smuggler loose somewhere in Brindleton Bay. He's proving to be rather difficult to handle. He was supposed to be on the docks waiting for a certain boat, but I found him in a bar chatting up a blonde. I'd send in a redhead, but I'm not sure if that would do the trick. I think he'd just laugh, and say "Send'em all. Blonde, brunette, redhead, goth. I'm the troublesome sort and you've got your hands full." Then he'd laugh and take all my money at the sabaac table.
Ah, is the scoundrel at it again? I am not surprised.
It would have been handy if he had a fear of bullfrogs or purple knitted hats. Alas, it takes a lot more to get him on that boat; as far as I know there’s only ONE thing he truly fears and I’m currently not in a position to share it. ?
Well, I'd already given up on getting him on the boat, as he told me that he wasn't interested in going to Selvadorada. But I had thought that I might get him to pick up a package and deliver it to Forgotten Hollow. But now, it seems that Forgotten Hollow is a mess, and when the boat with the package did arrive, the crew and captain were dead. And the package is missing.
I am sure it is not related, but there was a rather attractive blonde woman spotted sitting on the dock, sipping a cocktail and looking very amused as the bodies were taken away. I have no idea who she is. I haven't the time to investigate her right now as I have an evil redhead missing in Forgotten Hollow.
Oh how convenient, a dead captain and his dead crew...
And you thought the smuggler was bad news? Speaking from experience I'd say follow the blonde to find the redhead.
You are, as always, keenly perceptive. Too bad the scoundrel has found that the citizens of Brindleton Bay are not very good at playing sabaac. Were he not so engaged on taking them all to the cleaners, he might also have been as perceptive.
Unfortunately, I can't elaborate on either the blonde or the redhead at the moment. I have a condolence letter to write to a dear friend. She's going to be very upset, I'm afraid. But since it is an alternate slice of reality, perhaps she will be alright.
