I happened upon this image while swinging the camera around in tab mode getting my Quality Control 72 entry ready to post. It was so cute it made me smile so this will be my 12 days of SIMSmas avatar.
My reason for including the Bulbous Bush objects by the front door and the Totally Real Reindeer objects in front of the house in my build is a nod to a memory growing up up north under the Northern Lights. My mom would get upset when the deer would come up into the yard from the creek valley in winter and eat her ball cedars by the front door. She would go out to shoo them but they always seemed a little hesitant to leave. They would look at her to see just how serious she was about chasing them away almost as if they were thinking: "There is not a lot to eat in the cold winter and we need something easy for our young. This is the best meal we can find and we intend to stay and eat." Every summer she would think of a new plan to protect the cedars from the deer, various ways of covering the hedges and then she would spend the winters shooing the deer. Just a fun winter memory of a 'cat and mouse game' between my mom and the deer.
