Direct Control Mode CONSOLE VERSION
This discussion is mainly for the console players so please don't be that type that says "we are on computer there would be no use or point for that"
This has been requested by alot of people so I am hoping to make a new thread to bump the topic so the devs can hopefully see this and say "this is in high demand lets try it". I remember on the sims 2 for the original Xbox and ps2 and handheld systems that had BOTH direct control mode AND cursor mode. Cursor mode is self explanatory since we have it right now for the sims 4 and all computer players are used to cursor mode, but direct control mode allowed the input of the left joystick that would walk/move our sims around and using the A/X Button to interact with objects and sims. This allowed for tons of immersion options and gameplay. We lost direct gameplay when the sims 3 came out and the sims didn't feel the same without it. Then the sims 4 came out and now we have first person mode. First person mode was more of a test and an unintended feature so because of that, not much work was put into the new feature. It was then highly requested and released on every version of the sims 4. It's a great feature but here's the problem with it. The left joystick changes the field of view of the camera. I have a worn out stick so because of my stick's deadzone the FOV changes automatically. Then to move around we have to turn our sim's head on a 360 degree all the time and click every inch of the floor to move around and to walk through door ways we have to click the B/O Button and click "move here" to make our sims walk through doors. These options seem pointless and useless on console. The entire "direct control" mode is basically already there so they should instead make change the left joystick input to move our sim and walk our sim instead of change the field of view and make the A button interact with items and sims like it does already. Then it would be 100% spot on.
Anyone else want this on console versions?? I have been asking for this to come back for years but i need everyone else's help to get it more noticed.
