Hollowness' Sims 4 Showcase Thread

Once upon a time I was a Sims 3 builder, I had three featured builds and even was a guest blogger (featured blog to pair with the new Midnight Hollow world). But alas I heard Sims 4 had no Create-a-Style so I didn't join the move, however, after hearing no Sims 5 last year and a rather intriguing pack L&D, I decided to try. I really didn't actually play much till this year though, and barely built. But I decided to start up again with the challenge of no Create-a-Style.

  • Sims 4 does have some really great building features but some drawbacks too, I decided to make my first real from scratch build based on a renovation of my first featured build for Sims 3. Most of my old builder friends seem to have retired/moved on, but I figured I'd share my works here anyways. This is still sort of a WIP:

    edit:

Adventure Awaits update to build, added a butterfly/moth habitat.

It is great that you have made a Sims 4 version of your Sims 3 steampunk themed build. The exterior design is very great! 🙂Very nice windows and great glasshouse area with glass roofing and glass walls. The interior furnishing of each area is beautiful! Very nice warm brown and green colours. The design, open plan layout and the furnishing of the kitchen, dining and sitting area is lovely! 🙂Very nice wood wall paneling and great wood textured furniture. The glass windows walls and glass roofing in the dining nook is very nice and the plants and greenery through the room areas are lovely. The study desk and bar counter rooms are very nice and lovely design of the bedrooms.

One great thing between Sims 3 days and Sims 4 days is that you have remained a consistent supportive element for us rosemow :)

This is impressive! If you haven't already you should post a link in the What Happened thread whenever you update this thread.

Your Elixir and Brews custom venue is lovely! 🙂The exterior design, glass domes roofing, crystals and towers are pretty!  Very nice stained glass windows and doors. The furnishing of each of the cauldron areas and levels is  creatively great and very nice layout. The hanging herbs and the plants are lovely on the edges. The lighting is great! It gives a special mystical feel and look to the venue.

  • Gibbi Point's Prospector's Paradise Biodome Custom Venue. This is based on an old Sims 3 build of mine. Since placed in Crystal Valley one can "Pan for Crystals" in this build, and one pond is deep enough to bathe in. This build has a combination of nature and research: Gardening, Gemology, Entomology, Logic, and Natural Living Skill. Including temperate and tropical botanical gardens, as well as alien specimens.

Daytime is scheduled for "Nature Collectors" and gardener roles, and at night scheduled "Aquatic Ecosystem Tweakers" logic roles. I did try to have indoor fishing, but there was routing issues, so I turned it to just an ambient water ecosystems.

There is also a map orientation issue with this lot.
