I always wanted to become an architect, ended up with another funny job, but lucky me: I discovered Sims... So, I will showcase some of my creations here in this thread. New ones and some of the old stuff as well.
Congratulations for the Maxis faves on your starters! Your homes are all Gorgeous! Love the exterior designs for all of them and your landscaping and interiors are absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you all so much! @rosemow, @Corwim, @Jessiejessan, @Veriona, @crissylp89 @WrathofCath and @Ninnster I missed the comments here, it seems. Didn't get any notfication or overlooked it. :(
It seems I am too lazy, when it comes to showcasing or taking picture, loading them up to imgur, posting them here... But right now I ahve some time on hands and came up with a historic disctrict for newcrest.
You can set it up as a residential lot or a café or a bookstore (retail) if you like. It is the historic heart of Newcrest - a little victorian village, with three residential houses - the Christmas House, The Captain's Lodge or Summer House and Grey Manor for Halloween. The Clocktower Café is set up as a museum and a café and the bookstore makes it feel like a real street.

Historic District is a very detailed build! :) The design and layout of the Village looks very nice! It is such a detailed and special build! It is very nice that there are three homes, and that each is designed and furnished with a different seasonal theme. The exterior designs of each of them looks so very nice! Very nice furnishing of them and layout of the interiors! The Bookstore and the Clocktower Cafe are very nice! The exterior and interior designs and furnishing of them looks so very nice also! Sims will enjoy visiting the Cafe for a drink and a snack. The streets and roads in the village look great! The Village would have involved a lot of simming time and work! The resulting Village is so very nice! :)
Thank you, @rosemow! It is very nice that you take the time and look into so many simmers buildings and to find encouriging words.
Actually this build took me only about three hours. I am a fast builder. And if something won't go fast, I cancel the project. Of cause, sometime I start over and over again, but the project has to gather pace otherweise I am losing interest. Playtesting alway seems to take longer then building. :)
Wow, Historic Village is incredible, absolutely beautiful, the Victorian theme adds authenticity and magic. I love the style and shape of the Clocktower Café and the beauty of it's interiors, perfection :)
Thank you two so much, @WrathofCath and @masajo! It is so nice of you two to step in and take a look at my creations, as you are two such amazing builders yourself, I feel honored, that you like my build.
This time I thought of something different. Why not make a challenge out of my newest project?
You are a poor painter, recently married with a baby on the way. Thank god, äh.. unfortunately your aunt Polly died and left you her house. Some hobo lived there shortly, so you have to make the house livable again and you have to move it, because the lot doesn't come with the house. As you are poor, you don't have the money for the renovation, but maybe you can sell some of aunt Pollys old stuff? Add #kjhgkjgkjhgkvictorianchallenge and have fun!
You and your wife came up with max 4000 for a new lot and 2000 moving costs. Apart from that you have no penny left.

What you cannot do: change the wall heights or the height of the foundation. Apart from that, go crazy. Add a storey, change windows, sidings and doors, change wallpaper, change walls, whatever you like to do, just keep it in budget, because you can't spent other maey, than from the stuff you sell.... (just like in real life sometimes)
Your Victorian Challenge sounds great! :) Simmers will enjoy doing it! It is sad that Aunt Polly passed away though :( Simmers will restore her home again which is very nice :)
