No, blame lazy Baby Boomer parents for that one. Baby leashes were brought back in the 90's, after all.
Go ahead and bring strollers back, but not those awful baby leashes. They're so inhumane and just scream, "I had a baby for baby-having's sake and I have no idea what the ever-loving heck I'm doing now! Help me!"- Madamelee7 years agoLegend

Might I tell you a story about baby!me that Mom has told me a million times? At the elementary school I would later attend Mom was helping at the school's library there and she turned her back to do something and when she's turned back around I had crawled all the way into the hallway. So since then she had to use a child leash so I didn't wonder away that far. So how is THAT being lazy? It'ss keeping the kid safe-would you pefer I been run over by a car if I had gotten as far as the parking lot? - burnished_dragon7 years agoSeasoned AceThose haters have never had a runaway toddler. When your hands are full of other children and or "stuff for those children" a leash is handy to stop a toddler for running into the street or getting lost in a store ....

My mother raised three kids, two of whom were under 4 at the same time, mind you, and she never needed a leash when she took us out in public. She held our hands, she never kept her eyes off of us for more than a few seconds unless we were in a stroller, and she made darn sure that once we were old enough to understand how insanely dangerous the world is for a small child, that we knew and knew darn well to stay at her side at all times in public so we wouldn't get snatched up or hit by a truck and that we were sufficiently emotionally attached to her that the fear of being separated from her suddenly was just as strong as the fear of stranger-danger and speeding vehicles. Fear and love are a better way of keeping your children from getting lost/kidnapped/run over than leashing them like pets.- Suecom7 years agoRising HotshotMany toddlers dislike being tied into a pushchair and prefer to test their walking skills. Some toddlers don't like holding a parent's hand and some parents don't like having to bend down to hold onto a toddler's hand squirming around trying to loosen the hand grip. Some toddlers prefer the freedom to walk alone, practising their walking skill and feeling free to wander where they choose. Using a 'leash' (I've personally never thought of them as a pet leash, one use being to keep the pet (and others) safe from harm) allows the toddler some freedom to feel independent while at the same time allowing them to remain safe. 18 month old children don't understand the concept of keeping safe but DO like their independence. At 18 months, two of my childen were forever wanting to wander off and it was all I could do to keep him with me. 'Leashes' kept me sane and them safe. I'm all for them.

I'd personnally like a baby carrier. Your sim could increase their athletic skill as the baby grows heavier, hehe. - > @Alyza_1 said:

Just click your own sim and select 'form group' "GwenAutumn;c-16888017" wrote:

but toddlers walk slow so they drag behind. Adults don't walk slow for them nor hold their hand.
I really wish that parents followed toddlers around. I hate going anywhere with toddlers and parents not caring when toddlers wonder off. None of the other sims in the area care, either.- Movotti7 years agoNew Spectator

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAA!
No. They were never 'brought back', they've been used continuously since their invention.
They were used ON boomers as babies!
