A new pack idea that's a mix of a hotel and spooky combined themes
(i know there's an already existing topic but i don't know where to place it if it's haunted spooky pack combined but it also mentioned hotel with my idea but i place it here just to make sure, if there's already a topic which is spooky/haunted pack idea related you can place it there)
What if we can have a spooky hotel pack no one wants to visit at except people with adventurous (if you have Snowy Escape installed) or brave trait? (the latter it's a reward trait but i think it should be in a personality trait in CAS) maybe Risk-Taker or Fearless as alternative as personality trait in CAS and an another one is Fearfull/Troubled meaning they are automatically scared of ghosts and scary things and runaway from it (similair to storm weathers with thunder but differently)
With a dark themed world and maybe call it "Spooky/Haunted Hollow" or "Sleepy Hollow" or something?
I almost wanted to say Abandoned Hollow but that name will be way too similair to the Vampire world called "Forgotten Hollow"
I don't know which it should be based on but we can have a new venue type called "Scary Hotel" with a new lot challenge called "evil ghosts" (items will break more often like tables, chairs, some sort of a collections, broken curtains and windows, the lamps that will break so your sim have to deal without electricity, the mirror will breaks to name a few) only the most bravest sims will visit the hotel, one con, you have to take care of the hotel by yourself because the hotel is haunted
Abandoned park, dark nature, death plants, cemetries more similair to Forgotten Hollow (not a cemeteries venue type though) which is very haunted
Foods and Drinks that are often spoiled
Not directly a occult but maybe a Skeleton will have to do? depending on your personality you either fight, freeze or flight...maybe a new death type too? (similair to the bunny one in Henford-On-Bagley that comes with Cottage Living pack if you interract with a Skeleton with my pack ideas)
I think based on how its behaving it's a bit similair to mold and the part people act very strange like they are cursed or something, it's a bit similair to Zombies i shared in someone elses post too (Skeleton is the most similair to the ones in Strangerville)
New venue type "Spooky Residental House" (similair to Paranormal house, just more cursed)
Aspiration: Spooky Chaser? (Location or in Deviance category)
As for the pack name: Haunted Living? or Haunted Adventure?
It may be the darkest world out of all the worlds we have so far, maybe even more so than "Ravenwood"
Maybe as new collection each kind of spiders? (or atleast some of them)
Maybe only 8 lots? (more than Forgotten Hollow which is probably the most similair to this world idea i have in mind but definitely lesser than Ravenwood)
Buy/Build items: scary things like a scary bath, showers, tables, chairs, beds, desk, fridge etc scary walls and floors, doors and windows too
As for the pack type: maybe Game Pack? (i struggle between Expansion Pack and Game Pack but it sure is bigger than Stuff Pack, i think Game Pack match the best)
🎃My ideas can be usefull for halloween with seasons installed🎃
(I hope ea or the team sees my ideas based on my idea with haunted hotel with scary things)
if you have vampires, werewolves or maybe even realm of magic packs installed the chances are higher they win a battle against the skeleton(s) because of some kind of powers
Your Sim being targeted if they aren't brave or fearless
New Traits (in CAS):
Fearless / Risk-Taker(new personality trait) Thrives in spooky environments, less likely to flee or get scared, and gains buffs from danger.
Fearful / Troubled(new personality trait) Easily terrified, autonomously runs from hauntings, and can become traumatized (new moodlet).
This shifts the “Brave” trait from a reward into CAS, allowing better integration and storytelling.
New NPC: The Wandering Skeleton
Not quite a Grim Reaper, not quite an occult—this neutral but unpredictable entity appears randomly.
Based on Sim traits, the Sim might:
Freeze in fear
Fight it (brave/fearless)
Flee (fearful trait)
Losing a fight with it can result in a new death type: “Death by Fear Curse” or “Skeleton’s Curse” (like a twisted version of over-scaring).
New Gameplay & Features
Spooky Chaser Aspiration(Location or Deviance) Focused on visiting haunted lots, surviving 7 nights in the Haunted Hotel, or discovering hidden relics of the curse.
Fear Progression System (optional): Like Strangerville's story arc or Seasons' temperature system, add a “fear intensity” that builds the longer you stay in haunted places.
New Scary Collection: Spiders & Strange Relics Sims can collect rare spider types, cursed dolls, bones, and mold samples. Some cause fear, some cause illness (like the beetles in Jungle Adventure).
Build/Buy Mode Additions
Decayed Victorian furniture
Shattered windows & mirrors
Flickering chandeliers
Dusty bookcases, moldy fridges
Coffin-style beds (but not vampire exclusive)
Blood-red wallpapers, creaking wood floors
Animated wall cracks, cursed painting deco
Other Ideas
A subtle “curse” system where Sims in certain lots experience strange mood swings, hallucinations, or erratic behavior (inspired by Strangerville’s possession)
Chance encounters with other cursed guests, setting up for storytelling
Why Game Pack?
Too layered for a Stuff Pack, but doesn’t necessarily need the scale of an Expansion.
Comparable in depth and structure to Paranormal Stuff, Jungle Adventure, and Strangerville, with a unique tone.
Could even be bundled with a mini-kit focused on Gothic architecture or cursed clutter.

Haunted Architecture
Certain furniture pieces... don’t stay put. Sometimes lights flicker, shadows stretch, and doors open themselves. → Adds ambient hauntings even outside a story structure.
Dimensional Cracks

New Lot Challenges:
Evil Presence
Your lot is home to a malevolent ghost or cursed object. Mood swings, object destruction, and supernatural events are frequent.
