I know it would be complicated due to all the different curtains we have, but it would be so cool if there was a way to have auto opening/closing curtains, and you could pick the time for it to happen. So normal sims can see the sun in their house, Vampires could block it out but see the moon!

Yes! Especially if you live on a boat or near the coast. The wind coming off the ocean is vibrant and lovely. 🙂
We definitely need more and better curtains and awnings. It would also be nice if they would group all that type stuff together. The groupings are just terrible. I found something once and then couldn't find it again because of course it wasn't with curtains or awnings. But, if you type "shade" in the search, then scroll to the bottom, you will see a larger roll out type patio awning. It doesn't actually roll but it looks better than any of that other stuff in my experience. when using small houses I tend to put the treadmill outside, or a bench for my stargazing sims, and had to find a way they could do it and not be miserable. But yes more curtains! there are some windows it is so hard to put a curtain on bc nothing seems right and it makes me so sad to have to put a darn blind on one.

Motorized blackout blinds would be fun, especially if we could also set the level of darkness. Maybe they could make an entire game pack around them, and give us also a sunlight sensitive trait, a projector to use on walls, more pajamas, comfy couches to watch movies from, etc.
Some of my sims would just sit on the couch and play with the curtains all day!
