Better career gameplay

I think the base game careers have much more to offer and that right now we have enough to make them more useful, active and immersive with their gameplay. So my ideas are:

  • Give us a diarist and nanny semiactive careers;

  • Turn existing (BG and DLC) careers and part-time jobs into semiactive with workplaces;

  • Bring lifeguard, fisherman, simfluencer, video game streamer and handyperson part-time jobs to base game and turn them to semiactive;

  • Move part time jobs (barista, retail and fast food employees) to DLCS (Get Together, Get to Work and Dine Out) and turn them into semiactive;

For the semiactive versions of the jobs and careers i imagined:

ASTRONAUT (Base Game)
With Get to Work allow sims to actively work at the Labs, making rocket ships, talking to scientists, analysing alien biodiversity, and at Sixam meeting aliens, knowing about their culture, collecting samples, etc.

BABY SITTER (Base game)
Allow sims to actively work at residential lots.

BARISTA (Base game)
With Get Together allow sims to actively work at cafes.

BOTANIST (Seasons)
With Seasons allow Botanists to actively work at the (Get to Work) Labs, the same way scientists do but only with plants.

SIMFLUENCER (High School Years)
Allow sims to actively work at any lot with computer or at the cellphone.

STYLE INFLUENCER (Base game)
Allow sims to actively work at Reatil stores, Plumbob Pictures, Thirftea, Small Business or with Fashion Photographers.

VIDEO GAME STREAMER (High School Years)
Allow sims to actively work at home.

WRITER/FREELANCE WRITER (Base game)

For the careers that have more than one option i imagine them working as different gigs options where sims could choose where to work.

  • Honestly, this would be nice. Having Sims that are not current household doing their assigned career, and less townies autogenerated would be great!

    Plus you could try to find a Sim at their career location (if applicable), for storylines.

  • Business career is about office tasks (Management and investment), so the sims could act like the owner of the venue who manage the employees.
