Sims 3 and ISims 4 are different games.For example there is no night life expansion pack for four .
Bars and nightclubs are in the basegame 4.Why they were added in expansion packs in 3.
There really is no splitting up the packs.The features just come from different packs.
Like dance floors came in to Get Together.
3 had some more features but the features are more limited and not as fleshed out.
Why vampires came in 3 and 2 nightlife and late night.They are way more limited and don't compare the ones in 4.Which has there own skill tree with many powes and weakness.For you to make any vampire you want.
Sims 3 expansions are more broader and had many more niche features.
While Sims 4 expansion packs have less quanity,but more flesh out features.
