Can we have a Middle aged lifestage?

i saw this one awhile ago New Lifestages Preteen and Middle Aged. | EA Forums - 11263973 and someone else posted this Suggestion for Menopause for the Adult Life Stage | EA Forums - 11261546

i decided to create my own version, the latter isn't directly on that new lifestage but i have thought about this so the latter link is all the more reasons why i decided to create my own

the "Middle Aged" lifestage is a lifestage between adult and elder and even the idea is a bit of a mix between adult and elder

-it can have menopause: steaming head and hot flashes (it needs to be optional so you can toggle hot flashes and steaming head off for those who doesn't want this in a game)

-in that lifestage Middle aged sims can't get pregnant anymore

-your sim will grow gray (we need more gray colours options in hair)

-your face don't look that old like elder sims does

-your sim can still do stuff without getting exhausted (just like the younger stages do)

-your sim can have the option to early retire and get a pension

-your sim get a "wise" personality trait

-your sim can take care of others and maybe even its parents if they're still alive

-Your sim will get midlife crisis

i can't think of other things they can add as the "middle aged" lifestage but these are what i came up with

my reasons:

1: if your sim is pregnant when near elder stage and once it has a baby it will become an elder, it will look weird like its your grandkid(s) and the parent dies before the kid becomes a teenager, it will be normal for grandkids or even great-grandkids but not if you have a child and you're an elder already

2: it's not realistic as a adult life you get to do everything but once an elder you can't do anything at all without getting exhausted, the process should be slower so an Middle aged lifestage is an ideal one, sure you may have a moodlet to take things slow and take it easy but only if you overwork yourself for like days rather than overwork yourself for hours and once you take rest even for a day you're all better (even with that you'll recover faster than elder sims)

3: we need more realism so i dislike the big age gap differences, it's like from being a baby turning into a child, the big age gap differences isn't realistic (i only played The Sims 4 for 5 years but i did heard we didn't had toddlers untill like in 2017)

if it wasn't the combination of "New Life Stages Preteen and Middle-aged" or the other one "Menopause for the adult stage" i would've posted it in either of those so i decided to create my own post so it won't get mixed up with the other👍 (i know some people asked for the Middle-aged lifestage, i wasn't so sure of it at first but someone convinced me about having Middle aged sims in the game)

if we do have an already existing topic that only involves "Middle aged" as the tittle or atleast as the main tittle, you can share them there (i rather have that than getting deleted)

  • Thanks for the shout out lol of course I'm on board to me I feel like the Sims skipped the in between life stages like the baby jumping from newborn to child we had to put toddlers in the mix, then teen to adult, young adult, adult and death they had to put elders in early games now we have infants which is only a Lifestage because people couldn't pick up the newborn from the bassinet, However the gap between child and teen was always a thing for me in previous games that's why I wanted Preteens to be introduced in the game however the gap between child and teens became more prominent in this version of the Sims which I started asking for this Lifestage even more so. I asked for a Middle aged life stage because of the same reasons with the kids and how he the Sims 4 have the elders playing older then in previous games especially with the overexert and dying.

I would also liked to add that Middle aged or Senior Life Stage can also get the mid life crisis that Adults get.

no problem, i thought i create my own version since i don't see a seperate post for this but yes agreed, i hate the big age gap differences, including the stage you can do everything as an adult but once an elder you can't do anything without getting exhausted

and the latter link gave me inspirations to create mine

i didn't knew what to think about middle aged lifestage at first but now that i get the hang of it i'd love to have them in the game as the lifestage between "adult" and "elder" to make things more realistic😊😊👍

i can add midlife crisis in the description😊😊👍

    and also yes for preteens😇😇
