CAS items we are lacking

We need more modest clothes in CAS. We have some but it's really hard to make a family of modestly dressed Sims without repeating outfits.

I'm mostly thinking of female Sims, we have a ton of low cut, crop tops and things with cut outs but that shows too much skin for modest Sims. Even some of the long sleeve shirts that are full coverage in the front are open backed. I play big families and it's really hard to not dress them all in the same clothes with limited options. I own almost every pack and it's still a struggle.

I think it'd be nice to have some more clothes added that aren't skin tight and don't show a lot of skin, don't get me wrong I like and use a lot of the less conservative clothes but for some Sims it doesn't make sense to put them in those clothes. More options would be nice.

  • That's Because the game is centered and catered to the young adult stage I would love more modest clothing and just like I wanted a modest wedding dress and a veil.

Short, short miniskirts, shorts and crop tops... I agree there is no balance of options. I play very few teens and even my young adults aren't going around showing their goods. :D

Clubbing clothes! Yes, this is what I was trying to say. There's so much clubbing clothes (and I DO like them for the most part) but we have way less clothes for more conservative/older Sims.

I'm not against revealing clothes on adults but it would be nice to have more options that are less club-wear and maybe a little more brunch wear. IRL half the clothes my Sims classmates spawn in at the highschool would get them dress coded instantly and sent home.

I just want a few more long sleeves that don't show more than necks and hands and maybe a few long dresses that aren't skin tight and revealing on the top. I don't want them to stop making club wear but more variety of style would be good.

  • I sometimes don't 'get' Sims fashion. I don't mind some skin showing clothing, but sometimes it is overly "clubbing" clothing (tanks, halters, super short skirts/dresses, etc.). Even in Sims 3 I was in love with a three piece long sleeve top (dress shirt, vest and jacket (included pocket watch)) and pencil skirt with top frill, I had my female Sim wear as her main outfit for the longest time. I swear I didn't really start get into more outfits till I started buying from the Sims 3 store (and mostly themed Victorian/Steampunk). And Sims 3 has Create-a-Style.

For Sims 4 I remember trying to dress two female senior Sims, and I had to use a lot of duplicate outfits (I don't have every pack though), or else they kinda looked trashy wearing 'young people' clothing. It is even harder if you are trying to theme your game (by region/culture, era or fantasy/sci-fi/occult), occult wear is nice but obvious split to the occult 'in mind', and needs to be expanded and more children/elder items.

  • I know there are lots of crop tops, but I don't think there aren't enough options for modest sims, especially if you remove the filters.
