Desserts as a Food Subcategory

Desserts = “Sometimes Food”

Desserts like cakes, cookies, pies, cupcakes, brownies, tarts, and scones should be treated differently from meals in the autonomy system.

Sims will only eat desserts autonomously if:

A special event is active such as birthday, wedding, party, holiday.
They are experiencing moodlets tied to emotional eating. sad, stressed, etc.
They are children, childish, or slob Sims and choose to “sneak a piece.”

Cake Protection System

Sims will not grab a slice of cake immediately after baking unless explicitly told to. Let the cake cool, geez.

Sneaking a slice marks the cake as "compromised." Candles cannot be added anymore.

Cake Repair Mechanic

A Sim can repair a compromised cake by re-baking the same cake.

This process is quicker than baking from scratch and reactivates the option to add candles.

Doing so gives the baker a "Mildly Irritated" moodlet, e.g., “I just made that!”, which can be self-inflicted if they were the one who snuck the slice.
