I like this idea too, but I don’t think we should have to pay a maintenance fee. I have paid full price for most of my packs and kits, and I own them all. I don’t use mods or CC because I didn’t want to introduce problems into my game. I still get bugs, but I know it is not from something I brought into my game from outside.

I totally understand not wanting to pay a maintenance fee. But I also understand that implementing stuff like this and fixing problems with any of the packs, they still have to pay people to do these things. That is why I think fixes and such don't have the priority and quickness in getting resolved that we players would want. They are not making any residual money off the packs and such that we have already bought, so in the long term, they actually stand to lose money because they have to pay people because nobody works for free. They only make any money by putting out new stuff. So if you think about it, $50 a year would go a LONG way towards previous packs and expansions getting the attention and fixes that are needed.
With that said, it could be a maintenance plan for those who want the benefits of it and choose to pay for it and nonpaying accounts just continue as normal. They could also include in the plan special forum avatars and frames, stuff like that as an added benefit for those that choose to subscribe and support the cause.
