Feedback Suggestion: Enhanced Natural Lighting to Sims 4

Hi. I want to recommend a suggestion to the game. I love Sims 4 and it's lighting with the setting set to ultra high. However, what bothers me is the static natural daylight coming in. The current static daylight is static from a set time (5am to 8pm), meaning even if the sky outside is dark or cloudy before within that set time, the indoors static daylight will remain. It is super unrealistic that even in cloudy days or even 8pm it's dark outside and the static daylight is still coming in. Yes, the ultra high setting does make the lighting better, but it doesn't remove that static daylight. Something that is super annoying to me is if you add a basement, add a window in the basement, the game will act that as "daylight coming in" so the basement would have that static lighting. Yes I don't want the lighting in the afternoon to be way too dark, nor do I want the lighting during sunrise, sunset or cloudy days  to have that same static daylight.

I don't have a picture of what the game's lighting currently looks like yet but I can you the current game's lighting later on. This is what I want the game's lighting to be like (sunrise, sunset - you see its dark with just very little orange/pink light come in and that light steaming.)

PS: If you guys are wondering how I got the lighting to look like that, in Build Mode, there's a time of day toggle, if you switch to sunrise from night, there's a split second where the game's lighting looks like that without the static daylight.

  • I completely agree with this and would love to see an update on the indoor lighting. It not realistic, like you said OP,  when the indoor lighting is still daylight and the outside is dark.

I do wonder if they could update the indoor lighting to match the outdoor lighting better.🤔
