Freelancer Career should be accessible to Teen Sims

While I understand most of the careers have schedules that would clash with School hours, the Freelancer career has no set time so Teens can work after-school or the weekends on gigs so I see no reason they should be restricted especially when two of the jobs mostly have you at the computer. I'll also admit I wanted to play a Teen medium that went to school by day and exorcised spirits at night( I was inspired by the series Lockwood and Co.) but discovered I had to be a young adult...Also Young Adult sims in University can still do Freelancer gigs while going to class so letting Teen Sims do the same should not be difficult to program and would update what Teen Sims can do in terms of getting access to new careers unlike adult sims.

Bottom line, if my Teen Sim can do Odd Jobs, then they should be a Freelancer (and ghost hunter lol)

I think it depends on the type of freelance job, gig or career. Something similar to part-time jobs. Can teens do live streaming in game?

They can but I'm talking about the base game Freelance jobs (Digital artist, Writer and Programmer) and DLC jobs (Crafter, ghost hunter and photographer). Teens should be able to do it since there are no set hours which won't interfere with School and gives more variety since when was the last time Teens got a new career?

Ghost hunter gig and Medium skills isn't base game though as they come from the Paranormal Stuff pack.

  • The base game freelancer jobs are programmed to function like full-time employment. Teens can only work part-time employment. The odd jobs that came with Island Living function separately from both, which is why teen can do those.

I get that but gig work should also be considered part time work since there is no set hours to take on a job so Teens should fully be able to do it. I had a previous teen sim that was in the computer club and I could easily see them being a freelance programmer on the weekends putting the programming skill they gained from the afterschool club to good use. I just feel the Freelancer career should be the only "adult" career Teen sims get access to as a kind of gateway to full-time work until they age up and get full access to the career panel.

SereneAngel218, I just take it as if the freelance agencies have a minimum age requirement. There are employers that require 18+ for IRL, so I just predicted it was like that.
