Glitch? Fairies vs Werewolves?

They're supposed to have some kind of connection and therefore the fairies are able to "Calm the beast."  However...I've noticed that they still become terrified and run away, which seems counterintuitive.  They have this ability...they shouldn't fear werewolves at all.  Also My Fairy sim has been called autonomously by Wolfgang Wilder of the Moonwood Collective begging her to help him stop his rampaging before it happened.  He showed up, she did the "Calm the beast" and then...negative friendship was gained.  This feels wrong, too.  She just helped him.  Are these glitches? Or overlooked interactions?
