French Breakfast
Can we also add aspirations? And more personality traits? I reallt really want new aspirations and traits. It feels like a waste that they havent changed much. I want a sim whose life goal is to be a fashion model, or an influencer, or a serial-student, or the flakiest friend. Something to make it more modern and complex.
Traits: underminding, cruel (not nice to those it needs to care for), overbearing (talks too much and stresses friends out), goat-ish (modern day over achiever but in a good way, or they can be easy to manipulate), boss babe (takes charge but can be bad at reciprocating boundaries and compassion), obsessive (gets stuck and fiends for things. Nostaligic or stuck in the past, always wants retro stuff and gets melancholic. Serial best-friend, has besties but once they hit the top bear they get flakey. 'The top dog' syndrome, hates not being in charge at work and can stress out employees or be stressed at home.
Please add traits and aspirations, especially if we are making new kits, they should go hand in hand and would make game play more diverse!!!
Summer 2026 (French trend)
The "short-shorts" era of the past few years has officially taken a back seat, and this Summer, long, baggy, and structured shorts are dominating menswear across France.
The specific "half-shin" look comes from two massive, overlapping trends making waves in French streetwear and casual city styling.
- The Streetwear Movement: "Jorts"
If you look at Gen-Z and millennial crowds in Paris, Lyon, or Bordeaux, you will see an explosion of oversized denim shorts, widely known as jorts.
- The Cut: These are inspired by 1990s and Y2K skater culture—baggy, wide-legged, and falling anywhere from just below the knee to midway down the calf.
- The Fabric: Heavyweight, rigid denim (often in light washes, black, or distressed grey) that holds a bulky, structural silhouette.
- The Smart-Casual Shift: Tailored Bermudas & Capris
For a more polished look, the French vestiaire masculin (menswear wardrobe) has embraced wide, tailored Bermuda shorts.
- The Cut: Instead of the slim, mid-thigh chino shorts of the 2010s, these feature wide leg openings, sharp pleats, and long hems that hit below the knee. Some forward-facing collections are even pushing into true capri-length territory.
- The Styling: French men are balancing out the large volume on the bottom by wearing oversized boxy t-shirts, light linen button-downs, or unstructured blazers, paired with chunky sneakers or classic suede loafers.
Pro Proportion Tip: The golden rule for wearing this look in Europe right now is volume consistency. A tight, slim-fit shirt paired with massive, half-shin shorts throws off your body's proportions. Keep the top relaxed or oversized to anchor the look.
That chocolate shop looks lovely, would love to have it in the Sims. 🙂
