i totally agree with you. i also think it's all about new buyers. that's why the future sims looks the way it does. it's being adapted to the "new generation".
check out "EA nerds in a cave" on the internet. i bet they're referring to us older sims players too. the old ones will buy any **bleep** anyway, it's all about attracting new ones. such a statement is cheeky enough, but it just shows the face of EA. i think we have to accept that sims is "dead", at least as we know it. and broken anyway. it reminds me of the times when i was still playing sims 3 and sims 4 was announced. then you also noticed that they didn't give a **bleep** about the 3rd part. the money and the attention went into the new part. i see it the same way here.
if i were only building or furnishing i would really enjoy it, that's the great strength of sims 4 in my opinion. but as a real gameplay user, the fun goes out of it for me when there are bugs that severely impair the gameplay. plus slow fixes.
