Lovebug writer skill

Hello all,

I have been playing a Sim with the lovebug trait since a few days. I'm surprised that it makes my Sim spontaneously write about love on their blog so often; and I'm disappointed that this action doesn't level up his writing skill. I mean, if my Sim is going to spend so much time writing, the least he could do was progress as a writer.

Are there other writing actions Sims do that doesn't help leveling up their writing skill? I'm confused by this.
