I've just seen SatchOnSims has uploaded a video about this very topic. It helps explain my feelings on it:
I don't remember a single video where this guy doesn't complain endlessly. I prefer Carl's Sims videos he is more nuanced. And offers better ideas on making improvements.
In my opinion, Satch is just brutally honest. And he's British, honestly complaining is a national pasttime. I don't have an issue with his negativity. He shares a lot of the criticisms I have with the game and he's just straight up about it.
He still enjoys the game to a degree, he just makes it very clear where it's flaws are.
I like Carl's Guides too but I don't watch him all the time. I don't really watch very many Youtube Simmers, I only tend to watch some of them that give updates on news. I don't watch lets plays.
