Request Ray Tracing Support And DirectX 12 Feature To The Sims 4

Hello EA Team,

I hope this message finds you. I am writing you to request the addition of ray tracing support and DirectX 12 in The Sims 4. As a Sims Player, I believe that incorporating ray tracing technology would significantly enhance the visual experience for players like on the other games. Here are a few reasons why this feature would be beneficial:

  1. Improved Realism: Ray tracing can provide more realistic lighting, shadows, and reflections, making the game world feel more immersive and lifelike.
  2. Enhanced Graphics: With ray tracing and DirectX 12, the graphical quality of The Sims 4 would be elevated, attracting both new players and retaining current ones who seek high-quality visuals. And the new API which is better than the DirectX 11 what you released last time.
  3. Futureproofing: As gaming technology advances, having ray tracing support would ensure that The Sims 4 remains competitive and up to date with modern gaming standards.

I believe that adding ray tracing would not only improve the gameplay experience but also showcase EA’s commitment to innovation and quality. Thank you for considering this request.

Plus, can you include DirectX Ray-Tracing. The supported GPUs are going to be in the attachment. For the Ray-Tracing which needs RTX 2050 or Higher

Best regards, Nikolai Malabed

This recent "dynamic lighting" update already gave us way too reflective floors. It looks like cheap wood freshly waxed, even on stone!! It's not realistic, for the most part. As for countertops, what's shiny except marble and freshly cleaned granite? Anyway, it all hurts my eyes.

Furthermore, neither ray tracing nor DirectX12 will bring Sims 4 up-to-date. It won't fix the grass texture, poly count or giant toylike chairs, but it will make certain elements seem even more out of place next to sad base game elements, such as these. The devs should focus much more on gameplay improvement, although I desperately want the grass enhanced.

Possibly the only thing that can fix most issues is a GOOD Sims 5 (whether or not we'll get it). That's what I really want, because I doubt they can truly fix certain base game elements, though I wish they would. E.G., WHERE IS CREATE-A-WORLD?! I need it! (But with better visuals and 64 bits.)

On a figuratively brighter note, I just today noticed the water reflections next to Myshuno Meadows look very good, as is.

Oh, wow, I just noticed that the default grass underneath Myshuno Meadows is very shiny now, too!! THE GRASS!
