Oh how I wish for a button in the sims 4 cas to duplicate sims.Maybe I'm weird, but I love to make twins/triplets/quadruplets that look identical except for their hair (color) and clothing color.In the sims 3 I remember a 'duplicate' button which would give you a perfect copy of the sim.Now in the sims 4 the closest we can get is making an identical twin, but this gives you a sim with different hair, different clothes, and a different body shape.If I want to use the same clothes I have to find it all again for all clothing categories.And of course there is still the problem that the colour wheel is missing, so this makes it also much harder to make a identical twin in the same clothes with a different colour.But still, a duplicate button would be very nice.

@Heddelviven There is a workaround to have identical sims. Save the household to the gallery and remove any unwanted sims. Then merge this new household to the original. After that you just need to change the colors.

Some of us are just willing to admit it, while others are in denial.In all seriousness, the easiest way to copy a sim in this game is to save them to your library then add them back to the household as a new member. It would give you an exact clone, and wouldn't take that long to do either. Of course if the household has multiple sims besides the one you want to clone it would copy and add them all, but you can always delete the ones you don't want.

@Heddelviven Does "create a new sim" using genetics > add twin not work to create an identical twin? Maybe it is only fraternal? (I think I may have simply duplicated a gallery sim before in order to create triplets.) Just throwing an idea out there in case anyone can verify.

But that also doesn't allow you to modify their Occult status and so an Occult parent will mean Occult children, or vice versa. Sure, I have MCCC cheats mod so I can do it that way, but still. Heck, now that I think about it, the ability to change the occult state of an existing Sim in CAS without having to create a completely new Sim, especially for those who do not want to cheat/mod.Like a good example is I wanted to make one of my werewolf Sims her genetic mother, but I wanted her mother to not be a werewolf. Well, you can't do that in CAS. So I had to make her as a werewolf, then cheat her back to human once the game loaded. Then for fun I went ahead and gave her Dormant Wolf while I was at it, but that wasnt' necessary, but the ability to create her with genetics then remove (or add) her occult state legitimately would be nice.

@valohim666When I load a sim from the gallery, sometimes there are sims with skills. Creating a twin eliminates unnecessary skills, but the twin may not be as similar. Or you can download a sim, enter the neighborhood and reset the skills with a code, this is not very convenient if you have a lot of such sims. This is especially inconvenient for legacy players with rules prohibiting changing the active family. Or when you populate an entire city with Gallery Sims. That is, you first check the skills of a Sim from the gallery, then clean it, then save it to your library, and only then can you add it to the city. And it would be nice to clone appearances for sims and supernaturals. There are also situations where I like the look of a supernatural sim, but I have to heal it first. Or vice versa, in the gallery there is an ordinary sim, but I want to somehow turn it into a supernatural one. So, I would also like to clone any appearance.

Yes, please they need to add this ability to just clone a Sim's look onto another Sim.

@absolutgrndzer0 Oh okay I understand now. Yes, I also wish we could change occult type upon creation(if you changed your mind after creation but before fully saving)/editing a sim.

@Heddelviven Oh my gosh ive been wishing for this for years. Also a way to change the current sim's occult status, i.e. a regular sim into a vampire, or vampire into a regular sim. I like making twins as well, and too many times i started making a sim then decided/remembered i wanted the sim to be some certain occult, which meant i had to start all over or use cheats once in-game. Not that that's hard, but it'd be nice if there was an option. And definitely for twins, what I do is save one twin to my library, then open the library and merge the same sim into the current household in CAS. That way there are then two of the same sim. Also using the identical twin option still is a pain if you like to use custom face details, as in my experience you still have to select those all individually. Hopefully they add this someday!!!
