If the queuing up problem as well as the flat out freezing bug weren't happening, one could juggle their Sims by pausing the game, queuing up various interactions for all of them (or at least the ones that are struggling with needs), let the game run and then repeat. That is how I would handle households with more than two Sims. That or rack up as many points as you can to buy reward traits that help handle their needs, but don't get rid of them completely.
Yeah, though... I find it annoying when I need to go somewhere with a Sim or two and leave the rest of the household behind. There are "options" listed under the Sims still at home that supposedly tell them what to do when you are away. They have never built a skill, tended the garden, took care of themselves or the like since the time I started playing the game to this day. What is the point of that?
