STOP UPDATING EVERY .2 SECONDS

You've taken the enjoyment out of the sims 4 by making it feel like a chore. Not to mention content that I PAID for years ago is now free, yet no refund or anything. I even had to purchase the base game twice because of some random complications with my last account.  With all the trouble you and your game have caused me, I simply wish to play without having to update for some pack that probably should've been combined with already existing content.

    super valid suggestion.

What worked for me to avoid such annoyance of updates is to turn off auto download in steam, ea and the sims 4.

  • I have to say I was more than surprised by yesterday's patch, too.  Glad I have auto-update turned off. I use mods, for one. Some patches obliterate the mods, making my game unplayable for a time. I was feeling how you're feeling yesterday. I was even annoyed at just how late the EP release appeared to be. It was noon where I live. I'm an hour ahead of CA, where the EA Headquarters are, too.

Just turn off auto-updates and play off-line. You don't NEED to update if you're not ready for it.

  • Why don't you turn off auto updates? We need daily updates. I have estimated there are over 1,000 bugs in the game. I want more updates so the game can be fixed. At the rate they are going, they will never get ahead because each new patch introduces new bugs.
