Suggestion/Feedback
Hi Sims Team,
I wanted to share a piece of feedback regarding the tarot card posters currently in The Sims 4.
The existing set does a really lovely job abstracting tarot symbolism in a Sims-appropriate way. All Major Arcana are represented (with thoughtful renaming where appropriate), and the Minor Arcana suits are condensed into four symbolic posters (Wands, Cups, Swords, and Coins), rather than full numerical sets. This feels very intentional and cohesive.
Because of that established design choice, it feels like a natural extension to also include abstracted court-card equivalents, following the same logic used for the suits. Rather than individual Pages, Knights, Queens, and Kings per suit, this could be handled with just four additional posters, each representing a court rank as a concept rather than a person.
For example (names just illustrative):
Pages → “Scrolls” (beginnings, curiosity, learning)
Knights → “Guards” (action, movement, pursuit)
Queens → “Sovereign” (inner authority, wisdom)
Kings → “Master” (leadership, responsibility, mastery)
All done with animal symbolism/imagery to match each court card's overall concepts.
This approach would stay consistent with the current abstraction level of the tarot set, avoid person-, gender-, or hierarchy-heavy depictions, complete the symbolic tarot cycle for players who enjoy occult storytelling and worldbuilding and require minimal scope (decor items + text only)
I know tarot posters are a small detail, but they’re a meaningful one for players, like me, who use symbolism heavily in their builds and narratives. Completing the set this way would feel very in line with the thoughtful design already present.
Thank you for all the work that goes into keeping The Sims 4 evolving!
