The camera needs an update

Im playing with the sims 3 camera setting, inverted horizontal and certical rotation, no edge scrolling.

What annoys me is the weird limitation of the zoom, height and jumping between lot levels.

I cant really zoom in on a sim when the camera is focused on a sim. Also the focus breaks when hitting tab to hide the UI. Cant do any videos with smooth movement and walking sims. Makes no sense at all.

Then there is a minimum height the camera has to be above the ground which is terrible for any interaction lower than a toddlers head. Only when hitting tab I can lower the camera but this hides the UI which is only useful when taking screenshots. Why are these seperate?

And the jumping... Its been reported countless times. Its somehow connected to sounds because when something makes a sound on ground level we hear it at the designated volume and less or not at all on the next level. Why cant they be seperate after all these years? Have sound on for the lot level we are looking at but leave the camera alone. Again, hitting tab gives us a totally free camera but since its hiding the UI its kind of useless.
No, editing a certain camera file DOES NOT help because first it resets with every patch or game repair. Second it only reduces the issue slightly. Users should not have to resort to something like this for something so basic.

What I would like is using the Q and E keys to further reduce the camera height with the UI visible.

Disable this minimum distance zoom level. When I want to zoom in on something on the ground I like to actually zoom in without hiding the UI first. Sometimes I need to do something at that zoom level in build mode but the game forces me to use a magnification glass in hand to see certain details. Ever tried to place items exactly next to each other so they are in a perfect line? It hurts my eyes because I cant zoom in close enough. Literally hurting my eyes and Im already wearing glasses.

Maybe this is more important than "fixing" Sims no longer have clothing visible under their privacy mosaic. I would think one of the most basic ways to navigate the game is more important than something we dont see because its censored.
