As someone who plays on XBOX so totally vanilla, this is so frustrating to deal with. It especially bothers me when they claim to be base game only but are head to toe CC.
Worse still, other console players even mention that their saves get corrupted when downloading these catfish Sims due to the leftover data of the CCs used on the Sims. Even if they get removed upon importing them to CAS, somehow there are still remnant data that gets left behind, and this works differently in consoles because they’re not supposed to have CC at all. Some players on console who download these fakeroos sometimes don’t get bothered and be like, “meh, good enough,” and use them in their saves, only to have the save get corrupted when the catfish Sim sticks around in that save.
