I completely agree! I don't like the lactose intolerant trait, because its impact on the sim is so small compared to other traits. And I think a Sim with the "love outdoors" trait should react more to activities like gardening, jogging and skiing or have some particular reactions to jobs like gardener or fisherman. The only reaction I see is that my Sim is sad if he hasn't been outdoor for a long time... In my opinion, it's not enough.
In the Horse Ranch DLC came a trait that's called Rancher. I was pleasantly surprised to see my Sim enjoy some ranch activities and to worry about some chores that were not done, like cleaning manures and caring for the sheep. That's the kind of reactions I would like to see with other traits!
