Trying to play in the noble career.... but

I just found out that it is 24/7 - which means that my sim can't go to festivals, can't go on dates, won't receive invites... Is that really how it's meant to be? I saw a bug report on it, but it said awaiting more reports - and there are no new reports... So does that mean I just have to live with it? That this is only an issue for me? Or how do others work around it?

I was actually having a lot of fun but this has somewhat dampened my spirit...

Same with the 'strange sims initiating conversations with your sim' - it's almost impossible to go anywhere, with another sim, just wanting to be left in peace - I was even going outside the bar to try to talk to this other sim, when 10 sims came and 'joined the conversation' without invite. Why can't we just tell them to go away? And I don't want 200 strangers in my friend panel. I don't know them and I don't like them and I don't want them there. That was supposedly fixed. I just don't see it.

The Noble career was simply made bugged on purpose....

The 24/7 schedule itself is actually an intentional feature of the Noble career, but it causes a major logic bug with the base game's social system. Because a Noble Sim is technically "on duty" every hour of every day (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM), the game's Drama Scheduler cannot find an off-work time window to trigger phone calls, festival invites, dates, or social outings.

So WHEN is this going to be FIXED? Yes - bug reports have been posted. But you are waiting on more reports - why? When you know this is an intentional feature that is breaking the game?

    Is this true:

    Hmmm 🤔...

Very interesting observation there - I never really thought about that before!

Still I have no doubt that someone out there will find a way to Mod the game, that will solve the problem. I don't hold my breath for EA to (EVENTUALLY?) fix their own problems 😂 !

(note that "?" after the word "Eventually" 😉)

I'm sure - but the point is; I don't use mods and I am not about to. And I am of the strange persuasion that when you buy something; you expect it to work - especially it's CORE FUNCTION - like playing as a Noble! Since that was the point of the whole pack! 😐

Yes - I am really annoyed at the fact that people post it as a bug report and then they ask for more reports - when they KNOW they MADE THE PACK THIS WAY! Instead of simply letting us know WHEN it it will be FIXED! 😠

Yes, it is very annoying that either you get told to use/get mods to fix something and/or have to wait for a public uproar to get fixes (if that even happens).

Of course may bugs are caused by mods/cc, and if a bug cannot be recreated it is very tricky to fix. But there are a lot of blatant mistakes/oversights sometimes with internal file proof/screenshots, that just sit and wait. Sometimes the fix is even explained and fairly easy to do (as in a modder can do it), but it should be fixed officially.

I have written quite a few posts about this the last week. And I have written a bug report that seems to have disappeared? I would like to know if this is how it is supposed to be? Because it breaks the game. I just want to know if it's 'a bug' or it is part of the gameplay; that then breaks the game?

Some people might not have noticed; but when you work 24/7,  your sim can't go on dates, to festivals and will not receive invites to anything - it just says 'busy' on every holiday and festival there is, in the calendar. Please let me know if it is like that in your game. I do not play with mods or cc.

They probably merged your post with another—duplicate reports tend to be merged. If it is not merged it is either moved to feedback or locked and labeled as a duplicate report. Usually it isn't outright deleted, I guess they could have, but they should have merged if a duplicate.

Vingedheart I don't have Royalty but I do have Celebrity.  The nonstop attention is draining but at least a celebrity can go to festivals and dates.  I hope you get some responses from other Royalty players.

I'm familiar with bug reports getting moved.  Just happened to me yesterday.  When I go to my profile I see my original post.  If I click on it, the post it was moved to opens.  Did your bug report disappear from your Profile list?
