Unable to plan a funeral event during global calendar events

Question

Global events that we can't cancel, cause you to be unable to plan funerals and goaled events. The funeral thing is silly when I can plan other events, even they're not goaled events.

Global events like the one circled aren't even mandatory for your sim to appear and should be ignored when trying to schedule funerals and goaled events instead of trying in vain to fine a free day on the already bloated calendar. They're not even holidays. The entire day is blocked off for a few hours. It's absurd

Also, the calendar might need to be tweaked as having every pack would mean an overly filled calendar. I dislike how I have to go to calendar (multiple times) to delete holidays that crop up weekly, especially dumb ones like prank day. I also dislike the multiple event/festival pop ups. I'd love full customization of the calendar!

this is so annoying! all I wanted to was have funeral for my sim and I can't do it on the day I want because of talent showcase and prom! like I'm not going to those anyway.&nbsp;
