What's your Sims 4 holiday wishlist?!

What are some things you want to see in the Sims 4? Whether it be interactions, objects, worlds, tweaks or packs feel free to share! Here's my wishlist to start it off in no particular order:

⦁ Plant sims as a permanent life state again!
⦁ Gambling objects: poker table (I know we have the cards table, but you can't bet and there are no chips or anything on the table!), Blackjack, slot machines, roulette, etc.
⦁ Pool table.
⦁ A masquerade-style party event.
⦁ Cars, helicopters, carpools, driveable UFO 👽?, and motorcycles.
⦁  Tweaking to the wants/whims. (It has been a while since I have played, but recently playing it feels like all I get is "listen to stereo music" and I just feel like the Sims 2 and 3 wants were more interesting/varied. Maybe having the algorithm not suggest a want for some time after doing or rejecting it would work. Or an option to disable certain wants/fears in general)
⦁ Tweaks to autonomous cleaning. (I don't like how my sims auto-clean even when they don't have the neat trait cause then it takes time, and I feel it lessens the impact of being able to hire a maid/butler)
⦁ Having to make beds again! I just thought it was a neat little feature.
⦁ Air hockey table. (It's my favorite arcade game, and I just miss is since Sims Bustin' out heh c': )
⦁  Elevators with animations free for use like Sims 2 & 3 had. (I was so disappointed when I finally got City Life and they weren't useable because they're my favorite thing to build with!)
⦁ Alien pets cats/dogs/horses ( I just want to recreate GnarpGnarp the alien cat meme lol)
⦁ Hotels to visit and run. (Maybe functional elevators could come in a pack with it!)
⦁ Bands. (Rock bands would be what I would most love, but other types of genres would be so cool too!)
⦁ More stained glass windows (I remember for Sims Bustin' Out I always loved the red/purple stained glass window. I love the look of them irl too, and it would be cool to see traditional and non-conventional designs using stained glass)
⦁ More arcade stuff: Claw machine, pinball tables, single-tile arcade cabinets, fortune teller, etc.
⦁ More varied workout stuff: pull-up bar, row machine, barbells, dumbbells, leg press, exercise bike, squat rack, elliptical, Stairmaster, weighted exercise balls, weight vests etc.
⦁ Supernaturals: Dragons, zombies, mummies, and genies oh my.
⦁ Exotic pets: I always wanted the little monkey in Sims 1 Pets lol. Having bears, tigers, hyenas, etc. could be good chaotic/deadly fun.
⦁ Carnival/amusement park stuff.

Thank you Sims Team for all the hard work you put in, and the Sims community for staying active and being kind. ♥️I've been having a lot of fun playing Sims 4 again, and I hope you all have a lovely holiday or year if you don't celebrate!

  • Quite a list with loads of good ideas.

    My personal wishlist

    • pet dragons
    • Hotels we can own and/or visit (no rabbit hole)
    • Fairies
    • Permanent plantsims
    • Time travel into the distant future, if possible a bright and shiny future, not an apocalypse.
  • A new world with a way to create lot sizes that I choose. I'd choose mostly small lots with dozens of tiny homes.

  • An expansion pack that centered around Caribbean cultures if it's either hotels/resorts or ocean-themed. Most likely hotels, because Island Living EP recently focuses on island life and Hawaiian cultures since June 2019 (too bad they didn't celebrate National Caribbean-American Heritage Month). If they do announce hotels/resorts for The Sims 4, the time will come to get my wishlist completed if reggae station will be mentioned by the team after I beginning to manifest it since July 20th, 2023 after R&B station finally came to The Sims 4 back in June 2023.

  • Hmmm... fun thought! A few that come to mind for me...

    • I would love to have elevators, ramps, and wheelchairs added to base game with elevators serving a functionality like the do now in City Living (they can be a black hole), but that are reasonably user-friendly to add if you have multiple floors (requiring only the two tile space in front of them.  This could open the door for workaround play tweaks where you could assign a wheelchair to a sim, and you could provide elevators in your builds. Or you could just provide an elevator for convenience if it fits the build you're making. I would like if they can be added to a build in conjunction with stairs, so using the elevator is just an option if both options are there.
    • Diving boards and pool slides in basegame.
    • Pool. My sims were always obsessed with it in the past! They miss it. I tink they circulated a petition. 🤔
    • I would love to have a good option for filthy-rich sims to have more serious benevolent options... even places you can donate a million or any amount to... and options to gift any amount to another sim. Perhaps there could be some 'fame' reward for it when it's a donation? I've had families where I was literally trying to figure out how to get rid of a ginormous amount of money they didn't need (I don't really care for building them an elaborate mansion just because they could afford it... that's not the way I play most of the time.) I've had times I gave up and just let it stop at 999,999. It seems like a waste of some fun options of how to use the money benevolently.
    • I just 'manually' made a meditative 'Zen garden', but I wished that there was a say to make one that was more interactive to sim animations. Maybe the ability to create paths for them to walk like with a 'Prayer Labyrinth' using the raked stone tiles? I used them the garden I made, and even added path tiles, but nothing in the animations make that more than a concept. (The only way mine functionally use it is via the meditation stool I added.).My sims will definitely not walk the path.
    • I agree... many players would like fairies. I'd be thrilled if there were garden fairies you could add add that added some type of vibe or function.
    • It would be fun to have a garden gnome (and maybe other gnome types) that included some type of function. Maybe you would need to have a certain level of friendship for it to come to life and help, like with patchy... maybe using an animation like with the golden chickens, which is awesome? Maybe another type that would help with floor cleaning in the home like the 'roomba' does, etc. That could be super cute. I expect some players may even want an option for one that can cause a bit of mischief/chaos in some scenarios?
    • Spiral staircases. I would be over the moon for that option, as would many others!
    • A few more large lots to build on.
    • More open/buildable lots in all worlds.

    Thanks!

I loved the time machine rabbit-hole and Into the Future for Sims 3. That'd be a cool thing to see again 😊!

  • At the moment I'm more interested in bug fixes and tweaks.

Tweak how other Occults react to Werewolves. Vampires and Spellcasters mostly. Vampires seem less likely to run away in fear and more likely to either not be afraid or get a tense/angry moodlet. Spellcasters strike me as the same to a certain degree where they are less likely to be afraid or they might get a tense moodlet.

Possibly tweak how Sims react to Sims who are infected by the Motherplant. Really, the infected Sims are far scarier than the Werewolves. 😱

Tweak Servos to not have wants that only other Occults and regular Sims can have. Eating, drink, wear costumes... It is sad when they have things they love about a holiday or a whim that they cannot do. It can also be frustrating when you cannot complete something that has requirements - like events.

Could the Ghosts' needs be tweaked? They never made sense in the beginning and still make no sense being all mortal ones that simply have different names. Seriously, why do ghosts need to eat mortal food, use toilets and showers/bathtubs? (Yeah, they can suppress such needs by going up the skill tree, but it is still ridiculous that they have mortal needs when they are no longer mortal.) The essence grabbing would make sense as a sustenance, just leaving puddles of goo (like the ones in Paranormal) for mortals to slip on would do well for the goo disposal and maybe using crystals to cleanse their apparitions.

Tweak the game to fill houses in a way that makes more sense? All the huge lots tend to have one or two Sims while all the smaller ones tend to be maxed out at eight.

Fix the builds that are basically "outside" like Planet Pop! or have rooms that used half-walls to make pick-up service windows like the Hare and Hedgehog cafe or the Salty Paws bar. Maybe make a window that actually would work well as a pick-up service window for such builds.

Get rid of the panel wallpapers that has auto-place edging (the ones that basically have a "plainer" counter part that don't have them) and just put in a simple, thin base-game column Simmers can custom place. It is annoying how the edges do not always line up at the corners they should be at.

Foundations, tiles and terrain paint all having matching swatches. Like the brick foundation has a matching brick with the stairs and brick tiles and the brick wallpaper.

Terrain paint swatches that matches more of the other world environments. Or at least an update to the terrain paint color pallet to go with the ones that had swatches added to the floor tiles.

Slowly convert all the windows to be able to work with curved walls rather than making an additional window that can actually work on both flat and curved walls. There would be less space being taken up while being able to keep all the windows.

Make mirrors able to be free placed in terms of height. If anything should have a fixed height it should be toilet paper, light switches and/or thermostats.

For off-the-grid purposes, make a Base Game journal adults can use to write books or even a typewriter. It is ridiculous that Sims cannot write out manuscripts for their novels without a computer.

If food and woodwork sculptures made by Sims that are saved on the Gallery can keep the tag that tells you who made it, do the same for paintings?

When there is a holiday, have a single category in the pie menu that has all the holiday interactions under it.

With Jasmine Holiday showing up recently, bring back the old Challenges from around 2016? I like how with Seasons I can at least recreate the Bunny Egg Hunt in a way. It surprised me that the Sugar Skull Challenge couldn't be re-created. So, how about bringing the challenges back via Scenarios?

The calendar has become ridiculously cluttered with events, holidays, festivals and the like overlapping. Make the calendar more customizable so you can turn off reminders about festivals or holidays that have *nothing* to do with your Sim whether it has to do with life state or interest. Examples: A Sim may be in a household that has no teens, so their calendar doesn't need reminders or cheerleading or football every week. A Sim may have no interest country fairs dealing with crops, pies, llamas and/or cows and therefore, don't need reminders of those events on their calendar.

Make Sims have a bored moodlet when around decor they do not like rather than a tense one. Other than a personal space not living up the Sim's expectation due to an interior designer getting the job wrong, who gets tense or upset over decor? It is pretty annoying when your Sim gets tense over places that aren't even theirs. So you don't like this other Sim's taste in decor to the point you feel tense over it? WTF? Also, make Sims no longer go to look at a decor item they like unless it is in the same room as them. If it is in the same room they are in and they happen to see it, it makes sense. If it is all the way across the house, especially where they wake up in the middle of their sleep just to look at it? Maybe if the Sim is materialistic, that could make sense. Any other Sim? No.

Stop Sims from going to the pool to sit on its ledge while they are eating. That is weird. Maybe if the Sim is a slob? Sure. Any other Sim? "Ah, yes... I'll will eat my food here where crumbs and bits can fall into the water. The smell of chlorine really gives me such an appetite."

Make all photo taking of specific Sims be able to rotate the angle like how Simstagraming pets does. So many times I've had a Sim or two stand at a specific place to take a selfie for the perfect background, only for them to suddenly turn around and face the other way. It is aggravating as heck.

There are probably other things I could writer, but anyway... the last and main thing that actually matters to me are the bug and glitch fixes. Especially ones that impede progress be it doing a work task, finishing an aspiration, gaining a life milestone or earning a reward trait... it is a real killjoy when you have to either cheat (if you even know how) to get what your Sim needs to succeed or be left with nothing for all the effort. 😢

agreed that was always fun with 3 different possible futures to explore depending on what you did in the present

lol agreed on the "Stop Sims from going to the pool to sit on its ledge while they are eating" I had my female sim carry her toddler to the pool ( in winter ) change into swimwear to feed them then they had the cheek to moan about being cold. I decided to enclose the pool area and lock it in the winter
