Feedback is one thing. Acting like you were lied to is another. Nobody lied to you- you purchased something expecting it to be something it never claimed to be. That's not feedback.
The conversation went as follows:
"This should be a thing"
"It's not a thing for these reasons, but you can mod it into being a thing"
"I don't want to use mods for it to be a thing, I paid 40 dollars for it to be a thing"
"Nobody ever told you it was going to be a thing, you bought it knowing it wasn't the thing"
"Nuh uh, I was blindsided"
"You were not blindsided"
"Why are you trying to stop me from providing my feedback???"
Provide feedback all you want but if you have to pretend you were lied to maybe it's bad feedback or you're not communicating it properly.
Actually «Nobody ever told you it was going to be a thing, you bought it knowing it wasn't the thing» is not true lol. I wouldn’t complain if I knew. Everyone said you can make basically ANYTHING with this dlc. And no. You can build a huge gym but you cannot sell items bigger than a slice of pizza. What kind of small shops are you talking about? It’s not about bakeries or coffee shops. This dlc is about monetization your hobby.
In any case it’s not a reason to blame me. It’s EA’s task to explain us properly what this dlc actually is.

Where did you see content declaring that you could make full retail stores where you can sell anything? Because it doesn't exist.
Guys, seriously, you have to take personal responsibility with some of your purchasing choices. If you bought a Sims 4 pack that doesn't present itself as a retail pack, doesn't have full retail functionality, had no previews declaring it did, and many previews noting that it doesn't, all expecting for it to be a full retail focused experience... YOU are to blame, yes. It's not EA's fault you bought a product without understanding what it was, it just simply isn't. There are thousands of hours of gameplay footage of these packs BEFORE they come out and another thousand the day they come out, you don't have an excuse to be confused here. It's on you.
The ONLY mention of selling things on the store page specifically says sell craftables.

The ONLY mention of selling things on the official blog post specifically mentions retail surfaces.

The ONLY mention of selling things on the official livestream specifically states that you can only sell items from the retail surfaces and that there's no restocking or deeper retail elements.
