There wouldn't be any benefit as every single animation would have to be reworked to reflect a significant height change. Same with any teen heights. I use a height mod for teens that only make them slightly less taller than an adult, which doesn't effect the animations in looking off putting.

Whether it's worth the effort (reworking "every single animation") is a separate issue from whether or not there would be a benefit.

There would NOT be any benefit unless every animation had to be reworked.
If they would have did this near the beginning of the life of the game when there was so much to do it would have been fine. Now, there's not considering things like the family trees are finally being fixed and addressed after so long. Other than looks and aesthetic purposes for those that want them to look a certain way which is the only benefit to them there's really nothing else.

And yes, the game's animations would have to be reworked, but that is part of the cost of making this improvement. And maybe the cost–benefit analysis indicates that the improvement isn't worth doing. But the cost doesn't mean that there is no benefit.
