Accidental Override Game Save

Playing Sims on PS4 

Long story short, from the main menu I clicked New Game as I wanted to create a separate world my niece and I could play on.

We created our sim and then me being a silly goose I saved it over my main game, not ‘New Game’.

Is there any way to recover my previous saved game? I do not have cloud storage and didn’t have it saved on a USB. I also do not see a ‘Recover Game’ button like some forums mention. Did I permanently send my 4 years of world building to the grave? 

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

    PS4 is terrible for this as there is no way to recover your previous saves. I did the exact same thing and now refuse to play with the family as it's super annoying that I lost so much progress

    Ugh that’s the worst, sorry to hear it happened to you as well!

    Yeah, it’s super crummy having to start all over again. I’ll have to pay more attention next time. I guess I would have thought there would be like 10 notifications confirming it will override your entire game and not have it be so easy to do so haha
