Adoption "are you sure you want to adopt?" message

Hello! I'm fairly new still to the Sims 4 so I thought I'd try some new things, such as adopting pets. It was nice to see which pets you could adopt, and see them in your house before you actually adopted them. I checked the adoption for kids as well, I was curious how it would go- but I didn't get the "are you sure you want to adopt?" message I got for pets. If you clicked a toddler and selected adopt, then suddenly there was a toddler in your home! Of course that would be normal if you intended to adopt a kid, but my question is- why is there a "are you sure you want to adopt? It's a big responsibility." message for pets, but not for children? I mean, adopting a child is also a big responsibility right? In the end I kept the toddler, it seemed so sweet haha so then I had my first experience adopting a child in the Sims. 😉 But I'm still curious why there isn't a similar message for adopting kids.

  • @IrisuChan I'm adding a 'Me Too' and 'XP' to this suggestion. I think it makes complete sense to have a confirmation message also for a child adoption!?! I'm guessing the pet adoption message was added with the Cats & Dogs pack, but adding a similar confirmation message to base-game for child adoptions makes sense. 🙌

@SheriGRhaha I know right? I was so shocked after trying the pet adoption with the warning message, it didn't go same for the child adoption and my sim suddenly had a toddler! It was unexpected haha but in the end it was fun. However it would make sense to add the message, hopefully in the future they'll add it! 🙂
