Every time my sims have anyone over EVERYONE starts stealing everything— my couch was stolen four times, my coffee tables, kitchen counters. I went into CAS to remove the klepto trait but the sims didn't even have it, or the sticky fingers aspiration, and then the sims kept stealing my stuff. I think this is from the robber update or maybe businesses and hobbies, not sure.
I use mccc and that's it, I even tried disabled it and it still happened.
Hello! :) Here's the issue I have: Sims steal everything all the time! I invite Sims over, they steal something in my house. I go on a community lot, all the Sims steal things. I went in a library the other day and Sims stole all the desks and tables and now it looks super empty. I just had a friend come over and they stole a counter and a tray. Then I went on a gym lot and within a minute, four things got stolen from the lot I made. None of the Sims I create have the kleptomaniac trait because I just don't like that trait. It annoys me to always have to replace everything. It started a bit before the burglar update we got.
I really wish this could be fixed soon because it happens so often, it makes me feel like not playing the game since I can't interact with other Sims to build friendship anywhere. :(
Do you have Eco Lifestyle? If so, click on a mailbox and choose "Check Neighborhood Action Plans". Is the "Sharing is Caring" plan active?
If so, quickest fix is to use cheats. Hit Ctrl + Shift + C to bring up the cheats window, and type testingcheats on and then hit enter to submit the cheat and then esc to close the cheat menu. Then hold shift and click the mailbox and find the option for "Instant Repeal Neighborhood Action Plan" and use this to repeal "Sharing is Caring".

Yes! My sim's mom stole $1000 from her unlocked vault because she has materialistic trait? Several times I noticed money taken and then I caught her! Her mom and best friend was stealing from her!?
