Are Stove Hoods Functional?

Can someone please tell me what stove hood’s actually do in TS4? I add them to all of my builds simply for the kitchen esthetics, but I’ve always been curious, what do they actually do? Do they add to the quality of food? Reduce the probability of fires? Add environmental points? I’ve spent so many precious brain cells on this one thought. 😂😂

Someone please tell me!

    @jassibhappi I don't think they do anything at all, they're just for decor. But if you have Cool Kitchen there's a really nice one that is a light as well and looks a lot smarter, especially over an island unit with or without a stove incorporated . I think that's the only functional one. That's the one I use the most. With some of them you can also slot them into an overhead unit too just to change up the look.
