JonathanPeter Do you mean the actual acting gig after you pass the audition? The audition should be a rabbit hole.
JonathanPeterYou do need to run through the tasks with purpose, so to speak, but I generally finish up early. I start by heading right over for hair and costume, since those are usually the first tasks. About how long does the timer give you?

I do that, but the game takes too long registering that it's complete and thus I have no time to complete the acting gig by the time everything is completed, the Sim takes too long to do everything.

JonathanPeter How long does the timer give you? For example, I tried a level 2 gig and my sim arrived at 9am and had until 5pm - a full 8 hours.
Arriving, with an 8 hour dayAfter getting hair & makeup and costume, I did "gossip on set" with the costumer, then practiced acting in her mirror. I've got eat food queued up to go next.I then introduced myself to the people at the table while eating food, and did the "Get to Know" interaction (in small talk) before cancelling the conversation......in order to introduce myself to the director and tell him I'm ready to perform, with four and a half hours still to go.Doing two perform actions had my sim earning gold, whether she completes her performance or not......and after a third perform action, the gig is complete. Note that at this time, the timer jumps to be ending in a few minutes, since there's no point in staying until 5pm anymore.Of course, there's still just enough time to steal some food off the cast table to stock my fridge.Comparing what happens when you play, can you tell where it is going wrong? Does it start you off with less time, or does your sim get stuck in interactions longer than they should?
