Back to world Menu

Ever since the new update Aug 19, 2025 I have not been able to play my existing game where my household lived in Chestnut Ridge and I cannot open the 64x64 lot on the right side. When I try to open the household from the lot in Chestnut Ridge it brings me back to the Residential Worlds Menu and I choose Chestnut Ridge and I click the Household lot and I click the play button and it brings me back to the Residential Worlds Menu, stuck in the same loop. I made a new game and tried to move my household into Chestnut Ridge and when I click on the lot it lets me "move in" but then takes me back to the Residential Worlds Menu and gives me the option to play instead of move in but when I click play it brings me back to the Residential Worlds Menu. Please help! I just want my horse ranch back please!

    Try unticking the "allow scripts" option. That's what I had to do and it let me load into my houses again.

    I completely uninstalled the game, deleted the files, redownloaded the game, started completely over, i started a new game without the script mods allowed and it still didnt fix the problem, i get the same loop

    I split your post of the rest of the thread.

    Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

    - Delete the ones you have
    - Trigger the error again
    - Check if new ones are created
    - If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.


    Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting. 

    If you don't get any, please upload zip your entire saves folder and upload it to a file sharing site, then DM me the link.
