Bee box fertilizer distance

Hey I tried searching for this subject but unfortunately "bee" returns search results for "been" too and I don't really know if i'm phrasing this wrong to begin with but what I wanted to ask is this: 

My understanding of the bee box fertilizer bonus is that the bees will fertilize every plant within eight (solid white line) boxes, but does that include on the diagonal? I want to make sure I get the placement right as my greenhouse is still in the early stages of growth. Thanks!
