Ideas
Recently, I made the decision to incorporate family photos from various corrupt save files into another new game. As I began the process of reconstructing their lives, I thought it would be a great idea to capture some memories using either their phones or a Photo Booth feature. In the past, it was possible to store these photos in the in-game gallery or inventory, allowing for a saved image without any issues. Unfortunately, things have changed. I took several pictures in the hopes of recovering some precious memories that had mysteriously ended up in the "black photograph graveyard." To try and salvage the situation, I logged into an old save file and replicated whatever I could manage with my sims as teens living with their parents. After quickly saving those images into the gallery, I returned to my current game, only to find that all the photos had turned into black images too. This has been an issues for the last 10 days. The black image is one that cannot be resolved; the photos inevitably find themselves consigned to the metaphorical graveyard of discarded images, I cannot save images.
I'm having this issue with my game now. Was there a fix? I'm on a PC and have no mods, and started a new game. The photos will be fine and then the next day they turn to just black. Whether they were still in my sims inventory, or already hung on their walls.
I appreciate any help on this.
