Bug: When placing stairs the room the stairs lead to get dark

This is on the ”Chieftains Villa” lot. Its a bug. How can i fix it? I already tried putting a new roof obto it, replacing the stairs, re-creating the room, moving the room and then placing it back. N...

Have you checked to see if the room has a ceiling? 

If that's not the problem, would you be willing to post a gallery link? That is really helpful for other people to troubleshoot build issues
